What a wonderful time Trunk or Treat was at Immanuel’s campus on Saturday, October 27! It was indeed a blessing to see well over 700 people from our community attend this year’s Trunk or Treat – where children and their families could visit the 19 theme trunks for candy and games, experience balloon creations, chunk pumpkins, and enjoy delicious popcorn and soda being sold by our school’s 8th grade class. The Shelby County Sherriff’s Department and Memphis Fire Department had vehicles on display. It was great to see everyone making new friends and having so much fun on a sunny fall afternoon in a safe, family-friendly environment! This event was a practical way for our Immanuel family to share God’s love with one another as well as with families in our community. Special thanks to everyone who provided a trunk and donated candy, the balloon guy, our 8th grade class, Signs First for the welcome banners, those who helped with planning, and all of our awesome volunteers whose work made this event possible. Participants voted for Best Trunk and the winning trunks, the Arnolds and Sanders, received a $50 gift certificate to Central BBQ!
