On Sunday, September 25, Immanuel is having its second annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in the multi-purpose room, immediately following the 11:00 AM worship service.  This event will celebrate our volunteers and all who serve the Lord through our ministries of Immanuel.  Ephie Ballard-Johnson, President/CEO of Neighborhood Christian Centers, will be our guest speaker.  Everyone is invited!  BBQ (prepared by Tom Cassidy), sides, drinks, and dessert will be served at the Luncheon.  There will be a nursery for children ages three and under.  Older children through the fifth grade will have gym time (supervision provided by our older youth and some adults) and will be served lunch.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Immanuel is collecting specific hygiene and food items for the homeless in Memphis in partnership with Neighborhood Christian Centers (NCC).  Your donated items may be placed in the labeled box in our church lobby.  After the items are collected, they will be packaged by NCC into “blessing bags” and distributed to the homeless.  The primary mission of NCC is to guide those in need toward stability and sustainability through compassionate, Christ-centered ministries and empowerment programs.
