Community Trunk or Treat

Immanuel held a Community Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 29 from 4-6 PM. Thanks so much to everyone who helped make this year’s event such a wonderful success! Your commitment, creativity, and perseverance in seeing things through, especially since we moved to the gym due to the rain, really made a difference. God is good all the time and in spite of challenging conditions, he blessed us with hundreds of people from the community, as well as from our church and school family, who were able to experience this event. It’s about sharing the love of Jesus with our community by letting them know we care and that we’re here for them – and we had fun doing it!

Thank you to our 20 plus trunkers, many ILC and ILS volunteers, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (law enforcement/traffic and medical team), and the balloon artist for your time and support. Thanks also to the many Immanuel people who donated candy along the way. We even had attendees from the community coming in and donating candy at the event! It seemed like everyone enjoyed the event and were grateful that Immanuel was able to provide it (especially given the weather). There were awards for winners of the Best Decorated Trunk and the Scariest Trunk contests (voted on by attendees).
