Our Immanuel Lutheran School 1st grade Star Spangled Banner Celebration was held on April 26. Students started the program by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Cross. Then they provided descriptions of the Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Liberty Bell, and Statue of Liberty. Songs included the Star Spangled Banner, the Battle Hymn of the Republic, and the Presidents Song in between which students presented brief bios of each U.S. President. Each student had made a Liberty Bell and table candle that were on display. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed apple cobbler that the students had made and punch. Congratulations to our 1st grade students for a job well done!
