On the morning of February 20 and evening of February 21, our second and third grade class did a wonderful job leading this year’s Unity in Diversity Celebration at Immanuel Lutheran School.  After first sharing this year’s school theme based on 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 and a song, emcee Sharon Fryman introduced students who served as Heroes of the Past, Present, and Future.  Students read bios of the Hero they represented (after having previously researched them) and then the audience was asked to answer the question, “Who am I?”.  There was also a Silent Museum where students portrayed more Heroes and onlookers could read and learn more about those individuals.  A really special moment was a video of each second and third grade student who shared what they wanted to do to help others and impact their community.  Pastor Greg offered a closing prayer.  Special thanks to Miss Glanzer for all her hard work!
