After worship, Immanuel went out into the community to serve and love our neighbors by engaging in a number of service projects during Community Service Sunday on September 29. Service projects included cleaning/organizing, washing the building, and mulching at the Resource Center in the Beltline neighborhood of Memphis; picking up 37 bags of trash around Shelby Farms Park; providing a Bible study, leading reading and singing, and making snow globe Christmas ornaments with residents at Quail Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center; and conducting a “Thanks for your Service” Tour by visiting ten police precincts and fire stations in the Memphis, Bartlett, and Cordova areas while providing bottled water and healthy snacks.
