Immanuel Helps Human Trafficking Survivors

Immanuel helped meet a variety of physical and emotional needs in working with RestoreCorps during the Christmas season.  RestoreCorps is an interdenominational, Gospel-centered organization that exists to eradicate human trafficking by empowering survivors, equipping communities, and seeking justice through systemic change.  Our volunteers spent time helping human trafficking survivors decorate their Christmas tree and visited with them while providing hot chocolate and cookies on December 7.  More volunteers repaired beds for survivors at the Restore Corps safe house on December 12.  Women of the Word volunteers decorated a room, prepared and served Christmas dinner, and helped wrap Christmas presents for human trafficking survivors at RestoreCorps’ office on December 18.  God created all people in his image to know him, love him, and glorify him. True restoration involves men and women knowing the fullness and significance of their humanity and identity with Christ.  Working alongside RestoreCorps, our partner in ministry, we strive to glorify God by serving the Memphis community on behalf of the exploited.
