Immanuel is responding in a number of ways to help people impacted by several hurricanes that recently devastated southeastern Texas, Florida, and surrounding areas. To help Holy Cross Lutheran Church in North Miami, Florida (where former Immanuel Pastor Dennis Bartels serves) and families impacted by Hurricane Irma in this area, you can give 1) online at ilcmemphis.org through the ILC Member Portal, 2) by texting “Godwithus” to 73256 and selecting “Benevolence Fund”, or 3) by making your check payable to ILC (note “Benvolence Fund” in memo field) and placing it in the offering plate at Immanuel through October 1.

Donations of almost $1,000 recently received from Immanuel members were sent to the Texas District of the LCMS to help provide relief to people affected by Hurricane Harvey. Immanuel Thrivent members have also donated through Thrivent.com to specific disaster relief organizations responding to Hurricane Harvey. Immanuel is also planning to send mission team(s) to Texas. Please continue to pray that the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people would be met during these challenging times. Pray that people would turn to Jesus for comfort, assurance, and hope. Pray for God’s healing and restoration of the many communities impacted.
