Immanuel Students Read to Residents at Culpepper Place

Four third-grade students from Immanuel Lutheran School read a variety of stories to residents at Culpepper Place of Bartlett on February 6th.  There was a lot of interaction by the residents with the students as the stories were being read while making sure that everyone could see the pictures, too.  The reactions of the residents were priceless.  Our students also shared some of the things they are learning in their classes at ILS.  It was so heart-warming to see the expressions of appreciation and words of encouragement offered by the residents to our students.  On a cloudy day outside, there were lots of bright, smiling faces inside.  We are blessed to have the opportunity to impact the lives of seniors in our community in such a meaningful way.
