On April 10th, Job the Comfort Dog was a special guest at our Immanuel Lutheran School student chapel.  Job, a three-year old Golden Retriever, belongs to Christ The King Lutheran Church in Memphis and is a member of the Lutheran Church Charities K9 Comfort Dog Ministry.  Serving the Mid-South along with his handlers to bring mercy and compassion to those hurting or in need, Job regularly visits nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, special needs programs, and homeless programs.  ILS students learned about the Comfort Dog ministry, had an opportunity to pet Job, and received a bracelet or dog tags as a memento of his visit.
