Immanuel is sending a 12-member mission team to Guatemala during June 10-17, which includes three short-term missionaries who will be working in Guatemala most of June.  The team’s mission work will be primarily in the villages of El Durazno and El Salitre, and at Holy Cross LaSanta Cruz medical clinic at Lake Amatitlan.  The team’s primary goals include sharing the Gospel by visiting families in their homes, teaching Bible stories, working with the children’s ministry, and mentoring older youth; teaching English classes to children and secretarial students and teaching music to children; providing a dental clinic in two villages; providing hygiene kits; and planting fruit trees.  Team members include Dr. Joseph Dove, Stephanie Glanzer, Allison Hancock, Kenia Loya, Ed Mell, Dr. Anthony Polk, Diane Reimold, Kasandra Rogers, Maria Rincon, Fhany Santos, Joe Snyder, and Brooke VanCanneyt.  Ask the Lord of the Harvest to bring people to faith in Him as we plant seeds by demonstrating and proclaiming the Gospel in practical ways.  Contributions to support the team’s work can be made by making your check payable to Immanuel Lutheran Church, noting “Guatemala Mission” in the memo field, and placing your check in the offering plate.
