Trunk or Treat Event Serves Community

What a wonderful time Trunk or Treat was at Immanuel’s campus on Saturday, October 26! It was great to see hundreds of people from the community, as well as our school and church families, attend this year’s Trunk or Treat – where children could visit the 13 theme “trunks” for candy inside our gym and experience balloon creations by our balloon artist. The Shelby County Sherriff’s Department provided assistance with traffic, as well as an EMS vehicle. The MPD Appling Precinct also helped with traffic. Special thanks to everyone who provided a trunk and donated candy, the balloon artist, our 8th grade class painting pumpkins, and all of our awesome volunteers whose work made this event possible. We appreciated everyone’s patience and understanding with the weather change in moving to the gym. Participants voted for Best Trunk and the winning trunk, Gotham City (AJ Vega, Mitch Wood, Karen Bartlett), received a $50 gift certificate to Central BBQ!
