Immanuel hosted its fifth annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Sunday, September 22, where we celebrated our volunteers and all who serve the Lord through our ministries of Immanuel. One of our guest speakers from Youth Villages, Portia Williams, talked about the Foster Care Program as well as ways in which Immanuel helps support this Program, especially through our Risers for Fosters Connection Group ministry. Bryant Arriaza, the Assistant Spiritual Life Coordinator, spoke about faith and community along with additional ministry opportunities that Immanuel can explore in partnering with Youth Villages. We were also honored to have Hilda Arsenault, the Spiritual Life Coordinator of Youth Villages, as a guest. Special thanks to Chefs Tena, Luahn, and Troy for the delicious BBQ lunch and to Janelle Schaefer for providing table decorations and fresh fruit. Some of our leftover food was donated to Moriah House.
