Connection Groups

At Immanuel there are a variety of opportunities for people to connect with one another to grow in their faith as well as make new friends. Our primary way of helping people find community within Immanuel is through Connection Groups. Some of these groups are Bible Studies, others are groups of people who share a common interest.

We hope you will take part in one or more of the opportunities to fellowship with others and grow in your faith. If you are so inclined to lead a group, please contact the Church Office with your intention. It is Immanuel’s objective to help connect you to Christ, the church, and the community!

  • The women of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Senior Center at Immanuel. Includes Bible study, fellowship, and mission projects. They meet year-round except in June and December.

  • This group meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 6:30 pm in the Senior Center to comfort, share, and fellowship with one another.

  • Come join others and work on your crochet or knitting projects while growing friendships and enjoying time together. The group meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 2:00-4:00 pm in the church narthex.

  • A potluck dinner night for couples and singles. They meet on a Saturday evening (determined by the host), rotating homes or meeting at Immanuel Lutheran School. A great way to meet fellow members. For more information:

  • Do you like to play in the dirt? The church gardening group meets on the first Saturday of the month and as needed to weed flower beds and maintain the gardens around the church and school.

  • Open to any male singers, the Men’s Choir meets for rehearsal after the conclusion of the 8:30 am service (Around 9:30.) They typically sing in both worship services once per month.

  • Immanuel Handbell Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 6:30 in the Sanctuary. They typically play in worship services about once per month.

  • Immanuel Adult Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:30 in the Sanctuary. They sing at various times in worship services from about September through June.

  • All women are welcome to join for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and to participate in service projects that share our faith with the community. The WOW group meets on Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30 am in the Senior Center.

  • The Bowling League meets at 1:30 pm every other Sunday afternoon to bowl at Cordova Bowling Center (7945 Club Center Cove, Cordova, TN.) Cost is $13 per person per session.

  • Men's Ministry is a new group at Immanuel that meets at various times and places for fellowship, Bible Study, and service activities.

  • Meeting God through the Mothers of Scripture. Mom’s at the Well is a new group at Immanuel. Mom’s gather twice per month on Thursday at 6:30-8pm in the church library.
